Uhm i got a fixie right? and then like, im planning on getting a new chain ring im kinda new to fixie (NOOB)?

need some assistance please :D ok so like im gunna get a new chain ring, but the one i currently have is like pretty small and im not sure how to measure it or like tell wich kind to get, what if its too big or too small. i dont wanna get the wrong size.
