What does it mean if he says he kinda likes you?

the boy i like talks to me over the phone and one day he tried to find out who i liked, and after he found out i liked him he texted me and asked if i felt better and i said ya, and he said "see life is great! :D and im not gunna lie i kinda like you too" so i was wondering what that ment. Also when i am by him in person both of us dont pay attention to anyone but eachother
