Would a cold air intake be bad for a 3.7 mag?

some of my buddies were gunna put it on as a joke for ricers and im second guessing it now..all i ever owned was a 78 chevy 350 so im not to familar with these fuel injected car..its a 2004 dakota with a 3.7 magnum
